Scheming

I’ve literally been scheming for weeks! Fabric scheming that is!! It’s my favourite part of my work, I almost always begin a project by pulling together a strong fabric scheme from which to build out everything else. My love of fabric is deep and I could literally spend hours in my favourite fabric stores touching and feeling each and every option. Fabric is such a tactile experience, it’s best experienced in person and not online. My secret horde of fabric in my attic is proof of my slightly concerning obsession with fabric. I’ll buy a yard or two of any and all that I fall in love with for some future project that may or may not ever materialize. Some women horde shoes, I horde fabric (ok, well maybe shoes too but that’s another story).

Fabric scheming speaks to my intense love of pattern and colour and achieving that perfect mix of both in a space. I thought I’d share a few that I’ve been working on lately!

I feel the same way!! I don’t have a fabric stash, but I know what I love when I see it and could (and have!) spent hours in fabric stores when working on a project. I love your schemes above.

Didn’t realize we were kindred spirits in this area! Glad to hear I’m not the only one and thanks for commenting!

Wonderful fabric schemes! Do you do wall paper scheming Cindy? I find it quite challenging as one has to go over miles and miles of samples……

Adding some finishing touches to the living room at #cmiprojectfairlawn and I’m swooning over this new @tonicliving floral fabric. Comes in navy too! Remember that fun orange headboard @restylestudioto was working on last week? Well she's done and installed and pretty darn cute if I do say so myself. FOR SALE: Brand new, custom drapery panels made with @caitlinwilsondesign English Garden fabric. Sometimes things just don't work out and these weren't right for a recent client project. They are stunning and would be terrific in a variety of spaces - girls bedroom, living room, etc. Each panel measures 48"W x 96.5"L but could be easily altered to suit your space. DM me if interested!! 📷@kmtorrey I love seeing my crazy ideas come to life! Thanks to the very talented Andrea @restylestudioto this headboard is going to be a stunner in my girls room! Some room sneak peaks in stories. #Repost @restylestudioto (@get_repost)
